Remember "please" and "thank you"?

I heard it said once that having

a good relationship with Jesus is

like having a truly great friendship.

When we have a great friendship with

someone we use our "good" manners a lot,

don't we?

We want our friends to know that they are

important and we appreciate them.

I know I do.

But how often do I forget to thank Jesus?

He is the bestest best friend I could ever have

and I still forget.

I get wrapped up in my day and

my little world.

I ask God to fix what is wrong

and I forget to thank Him.

That doesn't sound like a true friendship,

does it?

A true friendship has balance.

Not just one person asking for help

all the time

and the other person running to help them every

time with no thanks in return.

That is the kind of friendship that wouldn't last

here on Earth.

But today I am thankful.  So thankful that God

would never leave me no matter

how selfish I can be.

I'm thankful that even when I mess up

He is there to forgive me.

He is the truest friend.

He is Jesus.  :)
